Intrepid Reporter Mahrukh Qureshi Sets Our Priorities Straight

March 19, 2010

I stumbled across this YouTube video of a certain intrepid reporter, Mahrukh Qureshi, called (quite innocuously but ominously) “Impact of Star Plus”. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that she’s probably going to talk about how Star Plus, an Indian entertainment channel, is ripping away at the very fabric of Pakistani society and is the cause for most of our societal problems today.

Let’s observe, shall we:

Ms. Qureshi sets the tone of the piece admirably. A half naked (but somewhat blurred) Indian lady is sure to get the interest of viewers.

Now that we know that Indians are lascivious people with women heaving their breasts in yellow Saris, let’s see what this has done to our good God fearing people.

OMG NOOOO! It’s a 4 year old imitating something he saw on television! His soul can no longer be pure. Lost to the Hindus. Poor child, may Allah have mercy on you… IN HELL.

And this sweet, innocent, little girl has learned the terrible Hindu lessons of (in her own words) “Trying to keep the family together” and “Not causing trouble.” Poor soul.

And this man has the gall to copy the shoulder length hairstyle of a film star and not our totally 100% different Sunnat (TM) endorsed shoulder length hair!

Whereas this man reveals to the us the terrible truth that sometimes women see things that they consider fashionable and would like to wear them. Our societal degradation is complete.

Clearly, these people have lost their way. But as long as we have brave souls like this Maulana in our midst we will be a strong, steadfast nation. After all he is against all cultural exchanges that could (verbatim) “decrease the hatred we have for Hindus and the Hindu religion.”

These Pakistani youth serve as an example for the rest of us to never go off the path of Pakistani traditionalism as defined by Muhammad Bin Qasim upon his establishment of Pakistan in 710 AD. One must never, ever, EVER, disgrace our national fabric with non-traditional beliefs and looks. As exemplified by intrepid reporter Mahrukh Qureshi.

M.. Mah… Mahrukh? Are those decadent Western jeans? But what about our culture? And our traditional values?

Aaaah… Sexy Islamism you say? Nice. Where did you learn such a thing?

Working with Zaid Hamid? But of course.

    3 things worth noting:

    1. Mohra! Man, fuck! That is one of my favourite movies of all time. The constant background score made my day.

    2. There are Kashish choorian? All men in Pakistan should see that show. Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki. Amna Sharif, aka “Kashish” is the hottest television actress of the past decade.

    3. I must say Mahrukh Qureshi wasn’t very unpleasant looking either.🙂

Kalakawa saab, well done! Satire and sarcasm are powerful tools indeed in the hands of the sensible and I congratulate you for exposing the hypocrisy of this “intrepid” reporter(though i must confess, she is distractingly attractive, having watched the video on YT). This expose should serve as a wake up call for Indians too, to ban Star Plus, though for very different reasons as another reader has pointed out.
May good sense and objectivity prevail!
